Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia—Reinald Siswanto, CEO of PT Wahana Interfood Nusantara Tbk (COCO), remains optimistic about the cocoa industry’s potential amid rising global demand of 10-15% annually.
However, Reinald noted that the chocolate industry still faces several challenges related to fluctuating raw material prices due to disruptions to global supply and production.
At COCO, processing cocoa beans into finished products provides an opportunity for COCO to produce chocolate products that meet market demand. To ensure sustainable production, COCO continues to strengthen partnerships with local farmers to supply 10,000 tons per year.
What are the prospects and challenges for the domestic chocolate business? For more information, watch Bramudya Prabowo’s dialogue with PT Wahana Interfood Nusantara Tbk (COCO) CEO Reinald Siswanto on CNBC Indonesia’s Closing Bell (Monday, October 28, 2024).
